I've been meaning to do this for weeks but have only just gotten around to updating my journal! I've done two exams now, not sure how they went but only one left to go. Then the fun of summer begins with lots more photo ops I've added some recent photos taken on my University campus of some gorgeous purple and burgundy tulips as well as a photo walk along the local canal where we were very fortunate to see nesting swans and ducks. I fell in love with the ducklings and I am so happy the photos came out so well! We will be heading back down to see if the swan's eggs have hatched so hopefully I'll soon have photos of lovely cygnets to share as well.

I've done some more crystals as well so will be adding them in the next week or so

I'm a pagan and I've been collecting crystals for about 10 years now. I've always wanted to take photos of them because I have so many beautiful and unique pieces. It's only now that I've had a camera that can zoom in and take macro photography. My attempts with my last camera years ago were futile. Also as I'm on holiday and in a photography mood so I've got the time to experiment.

I have finally uploaded all of my photography. In the middle of doing it I decided to go and take some photos of our garden and cats, thus giving myself even more work to do! It was worth it though and all the faves and comments have been much appreciated. I'm now on study leave for University with three exams starting 23rd April. I managed to accomplish some great grades for my coursework this term so it means that even if my exams go badly I'll still pass the year. The nice long break also means I can relax while studying and feed my creative bug. So expect more photos and hopefully some art and sewing/crafts as well. I'll be working on my novel as well which I'm afraid won't be posted on DA.


After exams I'm going to be in Spain for our holiday. We'll be visiting the Costa del Sol so looking forward to some R & R, sun, awesome food and photo ops! The fun summer doesn't end there as my best friend ( ~haleywatson ) is getting married! I'm one of her bridesmaids so that will be great, I haven't been one since I was 10. This will be my fourth outing as a bridesmaid It also means I'll be back home in South East London to visit friends and family, so more photo ops including my parent's awesome garden - home to many beautiful plants courtesy of my mum, four cats and an awesome pond full of beautiful fish including koi carp.

I've had a deviant art account for years and have mainly used it to view, save and appreciate other resources and art. I have a life long struggle with my art. I have natural talent, I used to be able to pick up a pencil and draw anything and it would look great. I am extremely out of practice and have become impatient with my art. So as an attempt to remind myself of what I am capable of and to try to get back into creating art I've updated this thing with a load of art. A lot of the art is from my old school days; some of it over a decade ago. The photography is much newer and will most likely be the most updated at the moment. Once I've finished my first year of University I'm hoping to do some sewing projects and get back to doing some art. So watch this space and feel free to yell encouragement!
